Blackstone Gorge

https://www.gregburt.com/blogimages/2006/10/blackstone%20gorge-thumb.jpgSo I went on two hikes today. Now, that might lead you to believe that I’m in really good shape… and if you want to believe that, please do.
Anyway, this morning I went on a typical hike near my house. There wasn’t anything really exciting to take pictures of, but there were a lot more birds than usual. Birds really aren’t into sitting still for portraits, though.
This afternoon, I was looking at maps and doing some research online to find a place for some photos. I decided on the Blackstone Gorge. I got a little off course on the drive there and a little off course on the drive home, but that’s part of the fun.
Rolling Dam is what you see in the picture at the start of this blog post, and that’s where the hiking trails start. I enjoyed my hike, and I’m happy to say that I avoided falling off of the rocks into the river which surely would have carried me away to some distant land (probably Woonsocket).
