World Series Parade – Full Set of Photos

It was very obvious that Curt Schilling was saying goodbye to the Boston fans. He had that sad looking “I know it’s over” type of smile and kept patting his heart with his hand. I get the feeling that the Red Sox are not going to offer him the kind of money he wants, but I think some team will want to pay him what he’s looking for.
What amazed me was that even though the Red Sox didn’t have to play against the Yankees in the playoffs, there were still some anti-Yankee signs along the parade route. Thankfully I only had to withstand one “Yankees suck” chant, and I’m a little miffed at how obsessed some Red Sox fans are with a team that hasn’t played a game in 3 weeks. Let it go. The Yankees don’t suck, the Kansas City Royals do.
T-shirt of the day… just outside of Back Bay station there was a guy selling t-shirts for this weekend’s football showdown between the Patriots and Colts. The front side of the shirt said, “I hate Peyton Manning”. The back said, “Eli sucks, too”.
